The compelling Swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter clearly thrives on collaborating with performers who share her musical intelligence and adventuresome spirit when it comes to exploring repertory of various styles and periods.

She has found a kindred artistic soul in the brilliant Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt, and together they are presenting a series of duo recitals this season that, with German lieder and French art songs at their center, also afford the pianist opportunities to present solo piano pieces while von Otter listens appreciatively from the side of the stage.
