The acclaimed British cellist returns to UChicago Presents for a back-to-back performance of Beethoven’s complete cello sonatas. Isserlis, on his gut-strung Stradivarius, is joined by the renowned performer and scholar Robert Levin on the fortepiano, and together over two nights, they trace Beethoven’s life story through his works for piano and cello.
