LOGAN CENTER RAISES THE DIAL ON JAZZ

CHICAGO TRIBUNE

By Howard Reich

Music lovers might not have anticipated it, but the sprawling arts center that the University of Chicago opened in 2012 has become an increasingly important player in Chicago jazz.

Upcoming concerts will spotlight leading figures such as pianist Jason Moran (May 29) and trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis (April 19) and emerging artists such as Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez (Nov. 14) and the Armenian-American pianist Tigran Hamasyan (Feb. 13).
