Student Tickets

Discounts for Students

Students with a valid ID from any educational institution may purchase tickets to most events at a discounted price. With the exception of Jazz and some Contempo concerts, student ticket prices are $5. Jazz concerts are $10 for students.

Discounted tickets may either be purchased at the ticket window (cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa) prior to the performance or at the Concert Office, 5720 S. Woodlawn Avenue, between 10 am and 5 pm, Monday-Friday. A minimum purchase of $10 is required when paying by credit card. A separate student ID must be shown for each ticket purchased at the student price.

Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 773.702.8068, however a minimum credit card purchase of $10 is required. We are not able to hold or reserve tickets without payment. Tickets may be picked up at the Concert Office or at the Will Call window, however one student ID must be shown for each ticket purchased at the student price.


Sponsor-A-Student
 

UCP is proud to offer a limited amount of free tickets to selected concerts to current University of Chicago students through the Sponsor-A-Student (SAS) program. Tickets are paid for by UCP patrons who have made contributions to the SAS Program. To be eligible, students must join our email list (simply fill out the form below) and agree to the terms of the program:

  1. One ticket per student. Tickets are non-transferable.
  2. The student must have a current U of C ID.
  3. The student must respond to chicagopresents@uchicago.edu when offered a ticket within the time allotted.
  4. In exchange for a free ticket, the student must write a short note to the person who donated the ticket thanking him or her and relating something about the concert-going experience.
  5. The letter must be delivered to the Concert Office in the week following the concert. We will mail it to the donor on your behalf.
