GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins’ improvisations are virtuosic and deeply personal, connecting his own story to the vitality of the jazz tradition. His meditative album Blues Blood uses vivid, varied techniques and textures to evoke the sights, sounds, and smells of his childhood home, bringing those memories to life in a multi-sensory performance.

Supported by the Logan Center Jazz Forever Fund, a gift of the Revada Foundation, in partnership with Chicago Jazz Magazine, DownBeat, Jazz Institute of Chicago, and WDCB 90.9 FM.
