Now in their 52nd season, the Gramophone and GRAMMY-winning Takács Quartet is only gaining momentum as one of the world’s finest string quartets. Their program contrasts the lightness of Mozart’s String Quartet No. 23 with the angst of Brahms’ first quartet, plus Gabriela Lena Frank’s Quijotadas—a Spanish-infused work based on the tale of Don Quixote.
