UChicago Presents offers 25 free student tickets for each concert. Tickets are provided through the generous support of the UChicago Arts Pass Program and the Sponsor-A-Student Program. Please note tickets are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis and are only available to UChicago students with valid Student IDs. Only one ticket is awarded per student per concert and tickets are non-transferrable. To request a free ticket, fill out this form.
Ticket requests are accepted up until 12:00 PM, two business days prior to the concert.
In exchange for your free ticket, we require that you write a short thank-you note to the donor of your ticket describing your concert experience. Please deliver the note to the marketing table at the concert hall, or to 5720 S. Woodlawn Avenue, Room 100 within one week following the performance. We will forward your note to the UChicago Presents patron who provided your ticket.
Cancellation Policy: Due to the nature of these tickets, we require at least 24 hours notice that you will not be able to attend before any performance. If you wish to cancel your ticket, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Two-strike Policy: Because these tickets are free for University of Chicago students through the generosity of numerous donors, we want to make sure they are being used to their maximum potential. Should a student arrive late for a concert, fail to show up for a concert without proper notice (as outlined above), or neglect to submit a thank you letter following a concert, that student will be awarded one strike. Should a student acquire two strikes, we will be unable to offer them free Sponsor-A-Student tickets in the future.
Free student tickets are provided as a joint venture of the Sponsor-A-Student Program and UChicago Arts Pass. The UChicago Arts Pass is made possible with the support of Joan and Robert Feitler through the Smart Family Foundation, other alumni and friends, the College, the Office of the Provost, the Reva and David Logan Arts Center, and the generosity of partnering cultural institutions. Sponsor-A-Student is supported through the generosity of individual Chicago Presents donors.
