We are thrilled to announce the UChicago Presents 2026/27 season. The artists this year reflect UChicago Presents’ commitment to presenting exceptional music while building on the University of Chicago’s spirit of rigorous inquiry. This season, we put music in conversation with the world around us—nothing is off limits, whether we are exploring chamber music’s role in the era of AI or playing with parody in musical expression.
UChicago Presents champions groundbreaking artists who redefine genres, such as MacArthur Award-winning jazz artist Craig Taborn, the first jazz artist named as the Don Michael Randel Ensemble-in-Residence. We bring the most adventurous voices in chamber music, such as Attacca Quartet with composer Caroline Shaw, while also basking in glorious musical tradition with Paul Jacobs igniting Rockefeller Memorial Chapel’s E.M. Skinner organ. We explore literary links in Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu’s The Ghosts of Hamlet and bridge Eastern and Western traditions with CelloGayageum. And there will be plenty of fun to be had, whether exploring the relationship between food, music, and memory; solving musical puzzles; or attending a live recording of the leading musicology podcast—Switched On Pop—featuring Chicago’s premier Black chamber music collective, D-Composed.
