Welcome! We are so excited to bring you special performances and Q&A sessions from amazing artists all over the world. With livestreamed events, you can experience performances and interact with world-class artists right in your home. To make accessing these livestreams as easy as possible, we’ve put together a few simple guidelines and steps to make sure you don’t miss out!
To begin, we will always include links in our ticket confirmation emails that will bring you directly to our Digital Concert Hall. Simply follow the link provided in the ticket confirmation email to access the stream.
Accessing the livestream
Step 1:
Click on the link to the livestream provided in your ticket purchase confirmation email.
Step 2:
After clicking the link, you will be directed to UChicago Present’s Digital Concert Hall. You may access the Digital Concert Hall at any time, but the video will not appear until the event’s listed start time.
If you access the page before the stream is available, the page will look like this:
Step 3:
Once the event is live and/or the on-demand viewing period has begun, the video will display on the page. If it doesn't, refresh your browser window. When the concert video appears, click the triangular Play button in the bottom left corner to begin the stream.
Make sure your volume is on and loud enough to hear. Volume controls are represented by the five tiered columns just to the right of the timeline.
Step 4:
To enlarge the video so that it fills the screen of your device, click the icon with the expanding arrows on the lower right corner of the video player.
You may also navigate to different selections on the program using the video chapters. You can access these either by clicking the white dots on the timeline, or by selecting the chapters menu on the bottom right-hand side of the player:
The video player also supports Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast, allowing you to stream UChicago Presents videos straight to your TV.

Devices
The Vimeo video player is supported on the current version of most web browsers. Google Chrome, Safari* (version 9 and up, for Macs), Microsoft Edge, and Firefox (version 27 and up) are the recommended internet browsers for our streaming events. Internet Explorer, Vewd, and Vivaldi are compatible, but may require updates to ensure an optimal streaming experience. For information and troubleshooting regarding your specific browser, visit Vimeo’s troubleshooting page.
Here are suggested devices from which you can access the livestream, along with a few tips for each:
RECOMMENDED – Desktop or laptop computer (PC or Mac)
As a first step, make sure that the volume is turned up on your computer. If your computer sound quality is not great, see if you can find headphones to use instead, but make sure the volume on your computer is set at a level that won't be too loud with headphones.
iPad or other tablet with internet connection
If you use an iPad, check to make sure the volume is turned up, and locate the link to the streaming page prior to the start of the event. If you're watching alone, headphones may improve your listening experience.
iPhone or other smartphone
The same as using an iPad or other tablet, practice locating the link in your email before the livestream. You may enjoy the event more with headphones from this device.
