Early Music group AGAVE is renowned for its spirited performances spanning seventeenth to twentieth-century chamber music with "a certain let-down-your-hair quality" (AllMusic). The group has garnered accolades for their performances and recordings, including a GRAMMY nomination for their album with velvet-voiced countertenor Reginald Mobley, American Originals. A celebration of music by mostly Black and brown composers, the program showcases music by Cuban composer Esteban Salas, extraordinary Black American composer Florence B.
