Mandel Hall (Reynolds Club)
Acclaimed musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra perform a program inspired by the theme of climate change. Christopher Stark’s Seasonal Music—an evocative work that draws on themes from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons—is paired with Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Homunculus and Korngold’s complex, romantic, and introspective Piano Quintet in E Major.
Join us for a pre-concert lecture (6:30 PM) with Assistant Professor Paula Harper and post-concert discussion with the artists and composer Christopher Stark, moderated by Professor Harper.
Runtime: 90 minutes, including intermission.
