Celebrated for their “precision” (Third Coast Review) and dynamic prowess, the Grossman Ensemble takes the stage under the baton of David Fulmer for four world premieres. Composers John Liberatore, whose music seeks poignancy through levity, Kari Watson, who was recently noted as one of the 23 for ’23: Composers and performers to watch this year (Washington Post), Ryan Garvey, whose music finds opportunities to surprise and confuse the listener, and David Fulmer, called “one of the most important conductors and musicians working with contemporary music” (New York Classical Review), unveil four captivating new works, immersing the audiences in a diverse sonic tapestry.

Followed by an after-party with the artists.

The Grossman Ensemble premieres "Terpsichore's Box of Dreams" by Augusta Read Thomas on May 19, 2023 at the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts in Chicago, IL. Commissioned by the Chicago Center for Contemporary Composition.
