COVID-19 Updates

Updated May 11, 2022

In an effort to protect our audiences, staff, volunteers, and artists, UChicago Presents has announced updated COVID-19 policies. Please read through these updates completely before purchasing tickets and attending a concert.

If you have previously purchased a ticket and are now unable to attend as a result of this policy change, please contact the UChicago Arts Box Office at 773.702.ARTS (2787) to convert the value of your ticket into a credit on your account, to contribute the value of your ticket as a tax-deductible donation to UChicago Presents, or to request a refund.

COVID-19 POLICY

Events are open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago Presents vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional. Public convening may not be safe for all and carries a risk for contracting COVID-19, particularly for those unvaccinated. Participants will not know the vaccination status of others and should follow appropriate risk mitigation measures.

All visitors to UChicago Presents events that are age 5 and older must provide proof of vaccination. By exception, visitors who are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons or due to a sincerely-held religious belief may provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event, or proof of a positive test 14-90 days prior to the event with affirmation that you are not experiencing any symptoms. Proof of vaccination or COVID test must be in English. Guests 16 and over must also present a photo ID. University of Chicago students and staff subject to the University’s vaccine requirements may demonstrate proof of compliance by presenting their UChicago ID (UCID).

Mask Guidelines

The University of Chicago, including the Logan Center is mask optional.  We strongly encourage unvaccinated individuals and those preferring to wear masks to do so. In light of recent elevated COVID-19 metrics on campus and in the City of Chicago, and Chicago’s Community Risk Level being changed to “medium” last Friday, the University is recommending that individuals wear a mask in indoor settings when others are present.

Self-Monitor

Any person who feels unwell or (a) has any COVID-19 symptoms, or (b) has had a positive COVID-19 test in the past 10 days, or (c) has had close contact with anyone confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19 agrees not to come to any UChicago Presents events.

Know the Risk

Visitors understand that there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place. Please follow health & safety protocols to help mitigate risk. All visitors to UChicago Presents events voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Respect Protocols

By attending a UChicago Presents event, you agree to comply with health & safety protocols. We reserve the right to deny entry to/remove visitors in violation of our protocols. Visitors who are disrespectful or discourteous to other visitors, artists, or staff may also be asked to leave.
