Logan Center Performance Hall
Featuring Gerald Clayton, Harish Raghavan, and Eric Harland
$40 | $20 under 35 | $10 Students
Opening the tenth season of Jazz at the Logan, NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd shares the stage with three other jazz giants, Gerald Clayton, Harish Raghavan, and Eric Harland, in a rare intimate performance.
Few voices in jazz have defined the sound of a generation the way saxophonist Charles Lloyd has. With an effusively warm, expansive sound on his instrument and a sense of transportive melodicism in both his composition and improvisation, the bandleader continues to affirm his place at the creative vanguard of the present moment with pianist Gerald Clayton, bassist Harish Raghavan, and drummer Eric Harland.
This concert is generously supported by Robert Guttman, the Revada Foundation, and the Reva and David Logan Foundation. Presented in partnership with Chicago Jazz Magazine, DownBeat, Hyde Park Jazz Festival, Jazz Institute of Chicago, and WDCB 90.9 FM.
