Description: The University of Chicago Presents seeks students interested in being vital and important parts of a respected organization dedicated to the presentation of classical, jazz, world, and contemporary music. Provides exposure to the world’s best musicians and involvement with audience development.

The Usher assists the House Manager with front of house concert duties for University of Chicago Presents events. Concert responsibilities include communicating with and assisting patrons, scanning tickets, distributing program books, and assisting with set up and clean up before and after the concerts.

Events typically take place on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, with some exceptions. 

Pay: $17 per hour

Production Assistant

Description: The Production Assistant will assist University of Chicago Presents staff with the production and operations of 25+ regular concerts and events during the academic year. The Assistant's primary responsibilities will include overseeing stage setup, managing hospitality needs, serving as a UChicago Presents representative on-site during rehearsals, and fulfilling possible stage management or front of house needs during events. In addition, the Assistant may provide related administrative support to UCP staff.

5-10 hours per week estimated depending on concert schedule, with the possibility of more during periods with more concerts. Regular hours may be scheduled during campus business hours (M-F, 8:30-5), but frequent evening and weekend presence at events is required.

Pay: $18 per hour
